Master in Aviation Management

  1. About the program
  • The Master of Aviation Management program is the first specialized program of its kind in the Middle East, whether in the field of aviation management or at the postgraduate level, which was launched in 2015 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Helwan University.
  1. Program objectives
  • Preparing qualified graduates that are able to compete in the aviation administrative labor market locally, regionally and internationally
  • To develop the ability of the participants from airlines, civil aviation authorities, and airports to operate effectively and manage the drastic changes economically and politically, and to overcome obstacles and crises at work.
  • Providing the students with the necessary knowledge and academic experience to develop their abilities.

PhD in Aviation Management

 A new program with the approved European points system (ECTS)

Program Goals :.

  • Providing students from Egypt and Middle Eastern countries with the various knowledge and skills that qualify them to work as competent managers at the international level, and to enter the academic field of teaching in the field of aviation.

  • Qualifying and developing the capabilities of students working in airlines, airports, and civil aviation authorities to work, and developing their capabilities to face the rapid international changes in the aviation sector, whether at the local or international level.

  • Providing and reviewing practical experiences in addition to the academic dimension in the field of air transport in one specialized program.

Master in Museum Studies (MMS)

Program Overview

The program aims to equip enrolled students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work in museums of all types and levels. This is achieved through a carefully designed curriculum that combines general subjects, museum and collections management, and modules related to information technology and visitor services. By offering a blend of mandatory and elective modules, the program ensures exceptional qualification for museum professionals.

Program Duration

The Master's program spans four semesters, including the completion and defence of a Master's thesis, and an internship in Egyptian museum(s)

The program comprises 120 ECTS credits, following the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)

The language of instruction is English

PhD Program in Heritage and Museum Studies (DHMS)

Program Overview

The program was launched in 2017 as an innovative initiative, complementing the faculty’s postgraduate academic activity in the fields of Heritage and Museum Studies, following the success of the two earlier programs: Master’s in Heritage Conservation and Site Management, and Master’s in Museum Studies that they were established in 2013 and 2014.

Master in Heritage Conservation and Site Management Program (HCSM)

The program offers two distinctive tracks

• A joint track between Capital University – formerly Helwan (Egypt) and Brandenburg University of Technology, Cottbus (Germany)

• A national track offered by Capital University – formerly Helwan

Both tracks include carefully designed curricula that combine interdisciplinary modules. The selected modules (both mandatory and electives) enable the student to achieve the knowledge and qualification for the heritage management field. Upon graduation, students will be able to identify and theoretically conceptualize the economic, social, cultural and political processes that are related to the cultural heritage of a nation, a landscape or an ethnic group. They will be able to understand the specific problems of different cultural contexts, in order to assess the specific cultural and natural values of heritage. They will be able to develop concepts for the safeguarding of heritage sites and to place them in a supra-regional or international context

Master of e-tourism Management

  • Program objectives

    The e-tourism Management M.Sc. program aims to equip students with main e-tourism concepts. It gives students essentials to apply e-marketing at various tourism aspects, in order to achieve the best possible return on investment for tourism service providers, i.e. travel agencies, tourism companies, hotel facilities, and tourism authorities. Key theories and practices of tourism websites design, search engine optimization, and eCommerce models will be afforded to students. The e-tourism Management M.Sc. student will be qualified  through a range of modules that combine carefully selected general subjects, which are divided between core and elective courses, in addition to research and practical applications in tourism.
